Pudipeddi Sai Kumar (born July 27, 1960) is an Indian actor, dubbing artist, and television presenter, widely recognized for his powerful screen presence and resonant baritone voice in Telugu and Kannada cinema. Born to veteran actor and voice artist P. J. Sarma and actress Krishna Jyothi, Sai Kumar entered the film industry at a young age, initially working as a child artist and dubbing talent. In the 1980s and early 1990s, he established himself as South Indian cinema's premier voice artist, famously dubbing for prominent leading men including Suman and Rajasekhar
He rose to stardom as a lead hero with the 1996 action drama Police Story, a massive blockbuster across Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil markets that established his trademark fierce police officer persona. He followed this success with several high-voltage action hits such as Agni IPS and A.K. 47
In the mid-2000s, Sai Kumar transitioned seamlessly into pivotal character and antagonist roles. His performances in the political thriller Samanyudu (2006), the critically acclaimed drama Prasthanam (2010), and the mystery thriller RangiTaranga (2015) earned widespread acclaim, winning him multiple Nandi Awards, Filmfare Awards South, and SIIMA Awards. His portrayal of Loknath Naidu in Prasthanam is widely cited as one of the standout acting performances in contemporary Telugu cinema.
Outside feature films, Sai Kumar has hosted several hit television game shows, including Deal or No Deal and WOW. He belongs to a distinguished film family: his brothers P. Ravi Shankar and Ayyappa P. Sharma, as well as his son Aadi Saikumar, are also well-known actors and filmmakers in the Indian film industry
